Safety

Safety

Ensuring safety with every move

Safety is an integral and foundational component of our company culture. From top-tier management to the skilled individuals who adeptly tackle customer concerns, all operations at Apache Fabricators revolve around a steadfast dedication to safety, covering the well-being of our workforce, our communities and the environment. Our health and safety culture is an ever-evolving program built on the identification and control of workplace hazards through direct employee engagement, top management commitment, persistent hazard analysis, and the rewarding of positive safety behaviors.

01
The SAFE Way
Before any task begins, the crew works through a fixed set of questions to surface hazards and controls. What am I about to do? How can it hurt me? What am I going to do about it?
02
20-20-20
Every 20 minutes, take 20 seconds to check 20 feet around you and identify any potential hazard. It is a habit, not a poster, and it is what keeps situational awareness alive through a full shift.
03
Stop Work Obligation
Employees do not just have Stop Work Authority at Apache Fabricators, they have a Stop Work Obligation. Every person on site is expected to halt a job that is not right, with no consequence for calling it.

Everyone goes home the same way they came to work.

Education and Training

All field personnel receive safety training specific to their work environment. Additional training is specified for each job description, which may include site specific orientations and Occupational Safety and Health Administration rules. Field Supervisors carry additional requirements including first aid and CPR, lifting and rigging, forklift and powered platform, PPE assessment, and hazard communication. Supervisors conduct daily job briefings that outline the activities for the day, complete JSAs for all anticipated hazards, and cover equipment inspections and the methods used to work safely.

Drug-Free Workplace

Our goal is to ensure that every employee is provided a safe work environment. To deliver outstanding service to our customers we must prevent injuries, property loss and damage. With pre-employment drug testing and random testing of employees throughout the year, the Apache Fabricators zero tolerance policy offers the highest level of protection available against potential workplace safety liabilities.

Enhanced New Hire Orientation Process

Apache Fabricators believes the right attitude is the single largest driver in safe workplace behavior. To ensure the right cultural fit, an improved hands-on training program was developed and implemented, with mentors assigned and supervisor evaluations at every stage of training prior to any employee being given autonomous work assignments.

Measurement and Education

Apache Fabricators maintains a comprehensive deck of safety metrics. The EHS team leverages this data to develop upcoming safety talks, identify areas for improvement, and continue to tailor and improve existing initiatives or programs. Most importantly, it educates the general employee base on what this information means, why it is important, and how it can directly impact them.

People First

Our drive for continuous improvement is inspired by our people, not a statistic. Through active engagement at all levels we capture the needs of each employee and verify that they understand how critical their role is in the collaborative success of our business. By connecting each Apache Fabricators team member with the spirit of Apache Pride, we create an environment where people are not simply encouraged to speak up and make a difference; they understand the importance of this expectation and show it through their actions. This translates into a cohesive workforce that will not let their team down and succeeds across any facility where we are privileged to work.
